Sparkling Pretzels

Serve these Sparkling Pretzels at your holiday festivities and make all your little elves happy!  They were a hit at our gingerbread classes last weekend, along with our special hot chocolate. We had several requests for the recipe forSparkling Pretzels that too.  There’s really no recipe, actually – but we do add some cream and cinnamon to make it extra special and delicious.

Sparkling Pretzels

  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 (16 ounce) bag of pretzels

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In a roasting pan add oil, sugar and cinnamon; stir to combine. Add pretzels and gently stir to coat well. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring twice. Remove from oven and spread pretzels on a sheet of wax paper to cool.

Makes 12 cups.

  1. You” add cream and cinnamon”, means you stir in a small amount of cream and add EXTRA cinnamon ???

    • We mix the cream and cinnamon into the big batch of hot chocolate that we make, but you could probably add it as you pour per cupful too. We like to mix it by the batch and add a little bit of this and a little bit of that until we get the taste we want.
