From The Warmth of our Kitchens

February 20, 2010

Dear Fellow Foodies,
Huge flakes of fluffy snow are falling (again!) in Kansas City. Yes, it’s cold outside and a perfect time to visit us at The Culinary Center. Inside our beautiful restored buggy barn from the turn of the century, you’ll discover that our kitchens are warm; the staff is welcoming … and the aromas are intoxicating.

If you’ve taken one of our classes … attended one of our dinners … or taken part in a teambuilding event, then you’ll know what I’m talking about. There’s just something about this place that warms your heart and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you step in the door. Many staff members and customers alike have told me they knew they truly belonged here the first time they walked in.

If you’ve not yet visited us … please know that you are so welcome. We would love to take you on a tour of our kitchens, show you our cozy fireside cookbook library, and dazzle you with fun, unique gadgets in our retail shop. We love to see the reactions of people who visit us for the first time – most are amazed at the state-of-the-art kitchens, the high vaulted ceiling, the bustling about of white chef jackets and staff members working events or preparing for them.

If you need an “excuse” to come visit, keep in mind that winter is a perfect time to fine-tune your culinary skills by taking one of our many, varied classes. Perhaps you’ve always wanted to learn to bake bread, master the art of sauce-making, or try a new ethnic cuisine. Your culinary “winter getaway” could begin right here!

You can also join us for lunch on Tuesdays when we are open to the public from 11:30-1:30. This is a great way to experience The Culinary Center ambiance, staff and food all in one fell swoop (and for only $12!).

Whatever the reason for your visit … we’ll always be happy to see you. Please be sure to let us know if you’re a “first-timer” or “newbie” as we like to call you – so we’ll be sure to take you on that tour! We can’t wait to see your reaction!
