IMPORTANT NOTES:
* indicates gluten-free dish
-Unless otherwise noted, most of these dishes must thaw for 24 hours before cooking, so make your dinner plans accordingly.
-Sometimes items are sold before we have a chance to update this flyer,Iso please accept our apologies if the item that you have chosen is no longer available.
-Letters after an item help our staff locate the dish in our freezer; it has nothing to do with the food content.
SAFE THAWING
- Items purchased must be kept frozen until their arrival to your refrigerator or freezer. DO NOT ALLOW TO THAW on the way home.
- DO NOT thaw perishable foods at room temperature. Just ONE bacterium, doubling every 20 minutes, could grow to 64 bacteria in two hours and 2,097,152 bacteria in seven hours! If perishable foods, such as meat, are left at room temperature too long, bacteria may grow and produce heat-resistant toxins that can cause food-borne illness. Cooking may not be able to destroy these toxins.
- It’s best to plan ahead for slow, safe thawing in the refrigerator. Small items may thaw overnight in the refrigerator. Larger foods may take longer – allow approximately one day for each 5 pounds of weight.
- Thaw packages of raw meat, poultry or fish on plates on lower shelves of refrigerators to prevent their juices from dripping on other food.
- For faster thawing, place food in a leak-proof plastic bag and immerse in COLD water. Change the water every 30 minutes
- to assure it stays cold. DO NOT use hot water. After thawing, refrigerate the food until ready to use. Food thaws in cold water at the rate of approximately one pound per half hour.* Indicates Gluten Free

One of the chefs made a delicious Chocolate Bread Pudding that I purchased from Dinners on Demand. I warmed it and poured hot fudge sauce over it. My guest loved it! Would sure like to see it on your list again. Even a regular custard bread pudding with a lemon sauce would be wonderful. I’ll keep watching!
I would love to take advantage of these yummy foods, but we don’t purchase anything these days with out being able to make an “informed” decision before purchasing, that being said I’d love it if calorie, fat and carb counts for these dishes was published. .
Hi Jill,
Thanks so much for your response! We are in the process of implementing a system of putting this info in the system for some of our dishes, so standby in the coming months for that! But the nature of our program is that the sometimes chefs create things from scratch without a recipe and we don’t have the benefit of this kind of info on this last minute, homemade items. We do ALWAYS put the ingredients on the label. We DO have a series of healthy classes for weight watchers, and the recipes taught in those classes do contain full nutritional information, if you’re interested you can see the entire schedule and register on our website at http://www.kcculinary.com.
Thanks!
Okay, I give — what do all the one-letter abbreviations mean in your descriptions of “Dinners on Demand”? (C, W, S, O, etc.)
Good question skipper mike! Well actually it’s our secret code telling us which freezer we’ve stored the food in… if you walk into our retail store Kitchenology, you’ll see a line of freezers against the wall that spell CHOW in large letters, the foods with the C next to them are in the freezer with the “C” from CHOW on the front, and so on. We’ve gotta make it more fun than numbers or something right???
You have an indicator for gluten-free dishes, but what about other allergens? We have a peanut allergy in our house and have to know if anything has peanuts in it or if any of the ingrediants are processed in facilities that use peanuts. Do you share that info also?
Hello Kristen, we do list all of the ingredients in each of our Dinners on Demand dishes on the package label. If you stop by you can read through the ingredients and make sure there are no allergens!
We love your concept. One concern, with all the tainted GMO foods and chemicals in our food, we’re striving to consume as much organic, free range, etc. as possible. If you ever go to Whole Foods you’ll see large crowds of people thinking the same thing. Many restaurants and grocers are implementing more and more organic choices. How about Dinners on Demand?
Hi Rick,
We understand your point of view, in fact check out our schedule of classes because we are offering more and more organic options. We have also launched a corporate wellness program that offers private events and education on just such subjects!!! We’ll certainly keep your suggestions for our Dinners on Demand program in mind as we develop healthy options for the freezers!!
Thanks so much!
